We wish everyone a Happy and Peaceful NewYear and all the best for 2017.
All our Christmas events are over for another year.
Firstly we would particularly like to thank Susan Brennan for all the work she put into the concert on the 9th December in St. James’ Church Mallow. The concert was a sell out and was a very enjoyable evening. Thanks to everyone who helped preparing for it and on the night and all those who came to support it.
Our next event was the Carol Service in St. James’ Mallow on the 11th December at 7pm. St. John’s Buttevant Carol Service was on the 14th December at 8pm.
The Christmas Jigsaw Club on the 17th December was a great success. Thanks to those who worked at this and for the children who came to it.
St. Mary’s Doneraile Carol Service was on Sunday 18th at 3pm. Our last Carol service was in St. Mary’s Castletownroche on Thursday 22nd of December at  7.30pm.
Our Christmas Services were on the 24th St. James Mallow at 8pm and St. Mary’s Doneraile at 11.30pm and on the 25th St. Mary’s Castletownroche at 10am and St. James Mallow at 11.45pm. Thanks to all organists, readers, decorators, soloists and anyone else who helped to make these services run so smoothly. The residents of Amberley Home really enjoyed the Carol singing on Wednesday 28th December. Thank you!
The Children’s party was on Thursday 29th December at 3pm in St. James’ Hall, Mallow. Thanks to all involved in this and to Santa for making a quick visit even though he must have been exhausted!
On the 31st December, in St. Mary’s Doneraile, we had a few short prayers before the old year was tolled out and the New Year rung in and all present had a cup of tea.
We were back in St. Mary’s Church Doneraile for our First Service of 2017 and this was followed with coffee and chat.
