4th Sunday of Lent – 22nd March 2020

Dear Friends

This email is to give you a little further information, and also some resources you might like to use tomorrow on Mothering Sunday, the 4th Sunday of Lent

On the attached pdf file are the readings used for Sunday 22nd March 2020, a reflection on Mothering Sunday and some prayers. If you are unable to open the document send me an email and I’ll resend it in a different format

In addition each weekday Rev. Tony Murphy has kindly organised to mail out a daily resource used through Christian Aid – it gives a Bible passage, a reflection and prayer

We hope these will help assist you with your times of prayer – as families and as individuals. Don’t forget the suggestion of praying at 9.00pm each evening, so that we might also remain in communion of prayer

Below are some general resources to do with the Diocese – these will hopefully keep you in touch with developments as they are announced

Although we cannot be together physically, we can be together spiritually, especially in prayer and to entrust each other to God’s infinite care.

God Bless you in these days and may his peace be with you

Alan

Rev. Canon Alan G. Marley

Priest in Charge

What is On?

Your bishop and clergy are available to you

Your pastors are not able to visit you in person at the moment but all of them are finding ways to reach out to you to keep in touch.

Clergy are also finding suitable ways for small groups, such as Select Vestries, to consult or to meet online.

The Bishop has been in regular personal contact with the clergy and other ministers in the Diocese to support and encourage them . He has set up a WhatsApp group to assist with urgent contact with clergy, and also a Cork, Cloyne and Ross Ministry Support group on Facebook where ideas are being shared to help us all through this time.
