This year the Synod is being held in our parish. There is a Holy Communion Service first in St. James Church, Mallow at 9.15am on Saturday the 11th June and then the meeting is in Charleville Park Hotel. The Service is open to everyone to come along so please come and support this service.

At a recent Select Vestry meeting it was again brought to everyones attention by John Nagle (Treasurer) that if our giving continues the way it has been that we will have a very signaficant shortfall at the end of the year. To try to prevent this from happening it was decided to have a Fete. The date for the Fete is the 13th August 2011 around the grounds of St. James Church, Mallow. A Sub-committee of Canon Eithne, Linda Deane, John Coulter, John Gardiner and Richard Lynch was appointed. If there is anyone else wants to join this committee please let Canon Eithne or Linda know. To make this Fete a success we need everyone to help on the day and support this event so please put this date in your diary and be prepared to help when you are asked to go on the rota.
