American Tea Party

Thanks to all who supported the American Tea Party. It was a great success and everyone enjoy the night. Thanks to all those who had tables and arranged the night.

Mothers Union and Friends

There were five of our members travelled to the Trident Kinsale for the pampering Day on Saturday 24th March and they really enjoyed there evening of pampering followed by dinner. On Monday the 26th March the Mallow MU members joined with the Fermoy ladies for the Lady Day service. This was a very enjoyable service and thanks to the Fermoy ladies for the invitation.

We have been invited by the Lismore MU Ladies to join with them on a prayer walk on Wednesday 4th April at 3pm in Ballyin Garden. Please contact Ruth Sherlock immediately if you are interested in going as they need numbers for tea in Lismore Hotel.

There is a Beetle Drive in the Adair Hall Fermoy on Saturday 14th April. So if anyone wants a night of fun please go to Fermoy on the 14th at 7.30pm.

Bible Club

Bible Club has finished for this season and to finish the term off we have our Children’s service in Mallow on Good Friday at 12 noon followed by an Easter egg hunt and tea in the hall. This is open to all children in the parish.

Thanks to all our teachers this term Susan Buckley, Jennifer Hartnett, Shirley Wolfe, Hazel Ladd, Aoife Ladd, Ruth Sherlock and Diana Buckley. Thanks also to Canon Eithne for opening our bible club each week with prayer and to Hazel for providing the music.

MALLOW NO1 NATIONAL SCHOOL

“Mallow (No.1) National School are collecting bags of old (clean) clothes, shoes, bags, belts, blankets and curtains for recycling as a fundraiser for the school. We bought a laptop for the school from the funds raised at the last two recycling events! If you would like to help us, please drop bags into the school for our next recycling event which is on 25th April. Thank you!”

Daffodil Day

€124 was raised for Daffodil Day after service in Castletownroche on Sunday 18th March. Betty says “Thank You” to all who supported this very worthy cause.

Mindfulness

On Saturday 14th April 10am – 1pm St. Luke’s Home Education Centre are hosting a Workshop on Mindfulness –an opportunity to reduce stress in our lives. Following requests we now offer a six Wednesday evening course

Confirmation

If anyone wishes to be confirmed later this year of early next year please contact the Rector as soon as possible. All young people who intend to be confirmed during 2012 or early 2013 are asked by the Bishop to attend the Bishop’s Confirmation Morning which takes place in the Canon Packham hall in Douglas on 28th April from 10am to 1pm.
