Hospitality was the order of the day in St Mary’s, Castletownroche for their now annual Buffet Supper. By kind permission of the local community, the parishioners had the use of their Community Hall for the evening of the 1st May. Although the numbers were down on last year, those present enjoyed a delicious ‘cold plate’ supper, with equally delicious desserts! Huge thanks to all who provided the food and drink, raffle prizes, and all who attended. The proceeds went towards St Mary’s Maintenance fund.
Mallow Union Easter Vestry had an attendance which exceeded everyone’s expectations! Thankfully, there was plenty of room for all as we met in St James’s Church, Mallow. This year saw a few changes to the make up of the Select Vestry, which is always a good idea, as new people bring fresh ideas. We thank most sincerely those who were not elected this year for all their contributions to the life of the Union of Parishes. Some of them had been on the Select Vestry for many years. We hope that you’ll still feel a part of things and will continue to contribute to the life of the parishes as your gifts will still be needed. Below are the results from the elections.
