CHARTING A FUTURE ROADSHOW
The next phase of Charting a Future with Confidence includes a number of strands, of which two of the key ones are:
– a published summary of the report
– regional ‘roadshows’
The Dean of Cork has been working on the summary.
He and the Bishop will lead the ‘roadshow’ visits to clusters of parishes around the Diocese. They will be inviting others to join them.  A key objective in this is to secure the attendance of people from the parishes who have not been part of the process up to this, such as other members of Select Vestries and interested parishioners.  We need new people to attend. Hopefully by now many will have made use of the published reports that were made available to the parishes, and that it will have been read.  There will be 6 ‘roadshow’ evenings.  Each will start at 7.30 p.m. sharp and conclude at 9 p.m.  Thursday, 24th May (in Northridge House) Cobh and Glanmire Union, Cloyne Union, Fermoy Union, Youghal Union, and Mallow
Union

PARISH FINANCES
Each year, the parish requires income to ensure that it can meet all outgoings, such as insurance, general upkeep of our churches and the Fair Share payment to the Diocesan Office (which has increased ignificantly in 2018). At present, expenses are in excess of income and it is difficult to predict how things will balance by the year end. We are always looking for ways to increase income. The following may be of interest to  you:

Fundraising Ideas – if you have any new fundraising ideas for the parish, big or small, feel free to share these!  Charitable Donation Scheme (Tax refund from the Revenue) – This is where the parish can claim back a tax refund of 31% on your annual donation (if greater than €250). This can be arranged by the completion of a form. Please note that the parish does not receive any of your personal financial information from the Revenue.  Donations – You can subscribe to our ‘Envelope’ donation system or set up a standing order.  If you wish to subscribe to the above tax refund scheme, envelope system, standing order set up or have any other queries, you can contact Jackie Nagle on (087) 795 1559. Thanks to everyone for their ontinued support, both financially and in contributing their time in various other ways.
