Mothers Union
Some members attended the M.U Conference in Garryvoe Hotel on the
weekend 13-15th November. Our speaker was Bishop Richard Henderson. He
was inspiring to listen to. The theme was family matters.
Our other speaker was Mrs Margaret Kingston who spoke about “from the
inside out”. In the morning she spoke about the spiritual side followed
in the afternoon with a section on “colour me beautiful “. In this
section we had fun learning what colour suited our skin tone. Everybody
enjoyed the weekend after having quiet time and meeting friends from
year to year. A big thank you to everyone who organised the weekend.
Our last meeting was on the 18th November Susan Brennan came and spoke
about the christmas wreath. She showed us how to make three different
wreath using newspapers on old books. It was interesting to see what
can be made from simple bits that we all have at home keeping
christmas simple. She finished with a christmas text. Thanks to Susan
for putting alot of work into the night. Also thanks to everyone who
contributed to team Hope Christmas shoe boxes appeal. A very peaceful and
happy christmas from Mallow M.U.
