As most of you know by now we are having our Fete on the Saturday 11th August on the grounds of St. James Church, Mallow starting at 11am. We are looking for donations as follows: 2 Bottles for Bottle Stall from each family (e.g. washing up liquid, shampoo, perfume, cooking oil, minerals, wine etc), bric-a-Brac, cakes, plants, country produce, books, toys, cakes for teas, old or chipped crockery, old shopping bags or boxes.
If you have not already contribution to the hamper for the raffle or want to sell more lines or have not returned your lines please contact Ruth Sherlock, Linda Deane or Diana Buckley immediately as we need contributions for hamper and lines returned before the 8th August.
If you want to hand in any of your contributions before the day of the fete you can drop them to the hall/church on Friday 10th before 4pm and 9pm or early on Saturday morning. All people in charge of stalls and any other helpers that are free to be there are asked to be at Mallow Church between 9.00am and 9.30am to set up the stalls and get ready for Fete. There will be no parking on the church grounds on the day of fete so please come early on Saturday morning to unload your contributions from the cars for the fete. Cars may be parked at the Rectory for the day. Floats will be provided on the day so any stall holders need not worry about change.
The list of stalls is enclosed in the newsletter and if you have not been asked to help and you are free to help please contact Diana Buckley.
WARNING
It was bought to our attention recently that there was a bogus person collecting in the Mallow area for the Church of Ireland. We have been given to understand that he is asking people to sign up for Direct Debits for varying amounts per week or month.
As you know we do not have this scheme. So please let your friends know that we do not have a direct debit scheme in operation for the Church of Ireland.
